Public Lecture:Iain McCalman - Darwin's Armada6-7.30pm 25 February, 2009Australian National University
As part of the Australian National University's Public Lecture Series 2009, Professor Iain McCalman, from the University of Sydney, will discuss his book Darwin's Armada, which explores the lives of Charles Darwin, Joseph Hooker, Thomas Huxley and Alfred Wallace, four young amateur naturalists from Britain who voyaged to the Southern Hemisphere in search of adventure and scientific fame. This lecture is free and open to the public. Iain McCalman's new book Darwin's Armada will be available for signing after the lecture.
